Water Purifier for Floods

‘During floods there is water everywhere, but there is no water to drink’

The project addresses to the drinking water problems people face during floods, a manually operated water purifier was developed using the Lifestraw filter.

Currently the lifestraw purification technology caters to the drinking water needs of the individual in survival situations, this project involves designing a device which uses the Lifestraw technology and goes further by offering drinking water to a group of 20-30 stranded people.

Moreover the product positioning itself is an environment friendly option, where the design approach considers issues like intuitive design, ergonomics, materials, etc

The future scope of the project would be to look at the product deployment in survival scenarios
