Installation for children to learn Parliament of India
In schools, children get introduced to the subject of civics or social political life at the age of 12.
The purpose behind having these subjects as a part of the curriculum includes making them familiar with government structure as well as helping them with understanding their roles and responsibilities as good citizens. But many students don’t find these subjects interesting enough and thus remain ignorant about the important role that government plays in their lives.
The idea behind this project was to provide children a resource in schools where they can learn about their government system in more fun and interactive way.
User studies were conducted in school to understand the problem deeply.
The outcome of the project was – Interactive installation and graphical animated videos.
Simple explanatory videos were made to explain the concepts. Graphical animation was used to make the videos fun and interesting
3D installation – Installation, in a form of a puzzle where children have to solve the one part of the puzzle and go to the next video
The videos and installation were integrated together and designed to teach children about the parliament and its component in school, where teachers can use it for teaching classes or children can play with it in free hours.
