Bicycle design for a theme park

Nothing compares the simple pleasure of a bicycle ride, be it to the market or along the countryside belt. Same applies for a visit to a theme park with your family. The project started of with a question of ‘How to design a bicycle for a theme park to impart the same emotion and mood a theme park conveys? – How to bring in the best of both to the context?’. Initial focus went into understanding why we love bicycles and different concepts were tried upon – something that challenged the iconic look of bicycle for the mood it creates. All through these, care was taken in preserving the persona of a bike (things that make bike a bike) and giving it a new character. Final stage went on to making tangible iterations of the early sketches, everything from custom frame design, handlebar, color and material finish.

The context for the design was chosen as Ramoji Film city
A mood board was created to inspire the ideations
Initial ideations based on analogies
Detailing of joints as well as other parts of the bicycle
Final concept sketch
CAD model render of the final concept
Prototyping the 1:1 working model

i like your concept, but what most pleasurable and touchy party is that seat in bottom designed for child…in first i dont like like your concept but then that seat changes the whole thing…no doubt why you are IDCan

I liked this concept to carry child on bicycle. But I doubt, tiny small wheel at the rear will able to do the job right as the cyclist have to paddle more to cover a particular distance so this is tiresome i guess. Circumference of wheel should be adequately enough to paddle without tiring the user. But adding an electric motor at rear on same tiny wheel can be justified though. Actual photograph of riding this bicycle with kid on board would have given here more understanding of about the working of this bike. Anyways Nice job and best luck for your further future..
