About

Chhoti… is an illustrated children’s book. It is about a little girl saves the life of a little bird but eventually the bird flies away! Now Chhoti sets her mission to get the bird back.

Story

The story is a take upon a poem written by me

“चिड़िया”

“धूप में जलता पंछी गिरता हुआ मेरे घर पहुँचा,
मैंने उसे पानी पिलाया, और वो फिर उड़ गया,
वो वापिस कभी नहीं लौटा …”

Illustrations

Illustrations were all first hand drawn, then cut and composed digitally. Watercolor, and wax crayons were used together to create a new and different visual scheme.
