Interactive Visualisation on biodiversity conservation of Nicobar Islands

Interactive Visualisation on biodiversity conservation of Nicobar Islands

Prof. ABC

The project focuses on the design and implementation of an interactive visualization aimed at raising awareness about biodiversity conservation in the Nicobar Islands. Through a web-based platform, the interactive visualization engages users in a scrollytelling experience, narrated by a mother leatherback turtle, to showcase the threats faced by the island's ecosystem and the importance of conservation efforts. The visualization incorporates animations, maps, and information pop-ups to provide an immersive and informative experience. Evaluation of the project involves expert feedback on content delivery and user engagement testing to assess the effectiveness of the visualization in conveying the cause and impact of the development plan.

Empowering Autistic kids for independent communication in context of Jellow AAC

Empowering Autistic kids for independent communication in context of Jellow AAC

Prof. ABC

This project aimed to empower non-verbal autistic children aged 3-10 years using the Jellow app for augmented and alternative communication (AAC). The app, designed by the IDC School of Design at IITB, utilizes icons and auditory feedback to facilitate communication. The project focused on incorporating features into the app that would promote independence in daily routines, hygiene, and basic food preparation for the children. Feedback from Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) was gathered and integrated into the app's development process. The goal was to enhance the app's effectiveness in enabling non-verbal children to communicate and express their needs. By incorporating Jellow's auditory feedback, the project aimed to empower the children to communicate independently and participate in various activities of daily living.
