Retold - A Storytelling Game

Retold - A Storytelling Game

Prof. ABC

The fairytales we grew up with are fantastical and amazing, but they all feel very similar. The characters from one story can be replaced by those from another, and it would hardly make a difference. Retold is a game that uses repetitive elements of fairytales to create new stories that the players can explore - brand new characters that fit perfectly into the fantasy worlds, but don't fit into their stereotypes. Every game is different, and every story is different. Each plaver starts with a character, and five character traits. Your goal is to get rid of the five traits you have, and swap them out to create a unique character. You can then use those new traits to tell stories of vour character, and the player with the best story wins! It may seem easier to use cards that give you magical abilities, but remember, the more uncommon the trait, the more points you get!

The Distance of the Moon

The Distance of the Moon

Prof. ABC

The distance of the moon is a retelling of a story by the same name, from Italo Calvino’s Cosmicomics, in an interactive format. The story is set in a fictional time long ago when the Moon was very close to the Earth, so that people could climb onto it with ladders. One day, the Moon begins to drift away. In this interactive version, the story has been split into three parts, each focussing on one important character and telling their version of the same story.
