Odiyans are people who practiced an occult art called Odi. It was practiced by the oppressed people about a century ago in the parts of Malabar in northern Kerala. It started as a form of protest against the landlords and the upper caste and it was their strategy to survive against them. It was mainly seen in the tribal castes of Kerala, mostly in the Panan, Parayan and Pulluvan castes. The film shows how an Odiyan was forced to shapeshift into an animal to take revenge on the people from the upper caste.
