Interior of Police patrolling combat vehicle

Police patrol specific areas as a daily routine. In addition to this they act as first responders in case of emergency. There is specific patrolling vehicle for quick response in case of terror attacks. Such troops have different needs and carry specific equipment. But the vehicles provided to them are mostly passenger vehicles. As they spend more than 12 hours while patrolling there is a necessity to address their needs. Specific vehicle such as Combat vehicle interior space is not addressing the proper solution for a quick responder vehicle.
Aim of the project is to design the entirely new interior for the police combat vehicle.

The research start from the understanding roles of paramilitary forces. The deep study done in the patrolling system of the police. The way whole communication happens in this system explained in image. On the basis of scenarios police have to take actions. The type of vehicle used is depends on the scenario. Combat vehicle used in the terror attacks as a first responder. The interior is very important for such vehicle as policemen have to prepare for the scenario in the vehicle and in case of combat they might fight from inside the vehicle.

The Ideation phase start from the basic layout ideation of the seating. Getting maximum space for movement and compact packaging is the goal for the ideation.

The CAD model is made with exact dimension for the final concept. All the equipment are up to scale to get the exact idea of space and volume.

The 1:1 scale quick and dirty mock-up model made to figure out the actions in real life. Mock-up helped in to see the ideas of reaching and gearing up with equipment in the real life. The final changes done after few changes in the model. The movements of the policemen easy to analyze in the mock-up. It is the best option for the validation of the concept.
