Auto-Suturing Device

In medical parlance, suturing is the joining of tissues with needle and thread, so that the tissues bind together and heal. But it is very difficult for Paramedics to achieve what is called as ideal suturing with current methods. It puts up a lot of cognitive load on them while performing the operation.

This project is an attempt to design and develop a device to aid in suturing operation, using various sizes of standard needles. It aims at providing better ergonomics, ease of operation, visual clarity while operating and simplified mechanism over the existing one developed by BETiC Lab.
